Every Family Deserves Support

Our Story

About ADHD Islington

ADHD Islington was founded over ten years ago after our founder’s own daughter was diagnosed with ADHD.

At the time, it quickly became clear that there was very little local support available for families navigating the everyday realities of ADHD. Wanting to change that, a small support group was created where parents and carers could meet, share experiences, and support one another.

What began as a handful of local families has grown into a thriving community that continues to make a positive difference to families throughout Islington.

What We Do

Working Together

Our dedicated team of volunteers delivers a wide range of support designed to help families feel informed, connected, and empowered.

Monthly Support Groups

Our monthly meetings provide a safe and welcoming environment where parents and carers can talk openly, ask questions, exchange advice, and build lasting friendships.

Community Support

Support doesn’t stop after the meetings. Our active WhatsApp community allows parents and carers to connect every day, sharing advice, celebrating milestones, and encouraging one another through the challenges that ADHD can bring.

Family Activities

Thanks to successful funding and the commitment of our volunteers, we organise wellbeing sessions, family activities, children’s events, seasonal celebrations, and day trips that help reduce isolation while creating positive experiences for families.

Expert Advice

We regularly invite guest speakers and professionals to our sessions, giving families access to trusted information and practical guidance on topics that matter most.
